If you know me, you know how much I love Target. There's hardly a feeling comparable to what I experience when arriving at the store. When the swirling scents of Starbucks coffee, popcorn from the mini food-court and the plastic-y aroma from the dollar section enters my body, it's honestly euphoric.
Anyway, Target is very important to me. Everyone knows it, I'm not denying it and I definitely spend way too much money there. I'll admit that I'm the target demographic for those memes you see on Facebook about walking into Target for one thing and coming out having spent $300...but I'm not ashamed — that place really has the best deals AND they've amped up their game as of late.
Obviously the store has an amazing home goods section, an expanding beauty section and a surprisingly sufficient food section, but one of its hidden gems is the women's clothing/accessory/shoe section.
Between their collabs with brands like Lilly Pulitzer and Hunter Boots and their own brands like JoyLab and A New Day, Target has turned their once average women's section into a spot I could literally buy all of my clothes at if I had to.
After a few visits within the past weeks, it has become very obvious to me that Target is not playing around this year when it comes to carrying the coziest scarves and sweaters and the cutest winter shoe styles.
Here are five fabulous Target finds for any fashionista looking to spice up their wardrobe this winter.
V-Neck Boucle Sweater
This basic v-neck boucle sweater is so comfy, so cozy and the perfect oversized look for any of your fall or winter festivities. Pair it with a skirt like the model in the picture or tuck it into your stretchy jeans for an easy Thanksgiving fit. It comes in both cream and black and it's only $29.99, so nobody's judging you if you buy both.
Chenille Mittens
Two words: chenille mittens. You obviously need these, not only because they're so chic and come in three different colors, but because they'll keep your hands super toasty. I love this cream pair with peach cuffs (hint, hint: @Michelle Fortin if you're reading this...) and I think they'd be a great stocking stuffer or <$15 gift for a Christmas exchange with friends.
Sherpa Lined Winter Booties
These adorable booties do the job at a fraction of the price of the ever-popular similar styles sold by Rebecca Minkoff and Marc Fisher. The classic combat boot look paired with a sherpa lining are sure to get you lots of compliments, and they'll definitely have people asking, "OMG where did you get your boots!?" To which you'll coolly reply, "Target, of course!"
Animal Print Scarf
Are you surprised I threw in something with an animal print? No? OK, I'm not either. I absolutely love this brushed blanket scarf not only because it's in my favorite print, but because it's crazy soft and the perfect size and length. It looks great styled with a cream or black sweater, but if you're feeling extra adventurous I'd suggest pairing it with a salmon or maroon top for a little color-pattern-play.
Burgundy Laser-Cut JoyLab Leggings
If you don't own a pair of JoyLab leggings by now, what are you waiting for?! I love my lululemon leggings as much as any other athletic-wear addict, but find myself reaching for one of my pairs from JoyLab more often than not. With so many different styles and prints, there's really something for everyone in Target's JoyLab collection. This burgundy pair is a perfect winter hue with adorable accents that could motivate anyone to head to a workout despite frigid temps.
