nighttime essentials for better sleep

I'm 100% a morning person and as someone who likes to rise before the sun, having a solid nighttime routine is crucial. Being exhausted is something that I simply don't have time for, so I've incorporated some products into my evening routine over the years that leave me refreshed come morning.

If you're reading this at night, pop a melatonin, prepare your tea, settle in and bookmark this page because you need these items.

Beauty Pillow - 4 Ways

I mentioned this pillow in a blog last fall and I'm still in love with it. The BEAUTY PILLOW - 4 WAYS has one "traditional" side to the pillow and another "scooped" side, which is perfect for people like me who sleep on their back or side. Yes, it's $165...but it's $165 very well spent because this thing changed the game for me.

Satin Sleep Mask & Pillowcase

Having a boujee sleep mask makes me feel fabulous and fancy, especially when I wear this mask on long flights. Who says you can't be extra in your sleep? I love this mask because the silk helps to reduce breakouts and skin irritation. I also swear by a good silk pillowcase because it helps prevent hair breakage, acne and more. Although this is another slightly expensive product coming in at $75, the set is really cute and worth the purchase. Check out Amazon for other great, more affordable pillowcase and mask options.

Detox Tea

Pukka's detox tea is a naturally caffeine-free tea that's perfect for sipping on while winding down at the end of the day. I originally came across this tea through Kenzie Burke's 21-Day Reset program last summer, and although I'm no longer food combining, I still love this tea. The flavor is great and I definitely notice a significant decrease in how bloated I am when I drink this tea nightly. I typically buy this tea in bulk on Amazon.

Pillow Mist

I loooove the smell of eucalyptus, which is convenient because it's the perfect scent to nod off to sleep to. Using a pillow mist has become a surprisingly fun part of my nightly routine and it just makes the whole bed smell amazing! I personally love a eucalyptus-mint combo, so I highly suggest it to anyone and can only imagine how heavenly this mist from Bath & BodyWorks smells.

Lip Sleeping Mask

The verdict is in, people. After talking about the LANEIGE Lip Sleeping Mask in not one, but two previous blogs, I finally got my paws on it. I won't lie — at first, this mask made my lips feel a little dried out. That scared me and made me wonder what all the hype was about! The mask is an Allure Best of Beauty winner, after all. I had been using it throughout the day and decided that using it at night might be a better option...and I was right! I love slathering on this lip mask before bed. It smells amazing, the packaging is adorable and it leaves my lips super soft in the a.m. If you don't like the original berry scent, the brand also makes a vanilla scent, apple lime and sweet candy.

Thanks for reading — sweet dreams!
